The mission of the First Presbyterian Church of Rutherford is to provide a sanctuary where people of faith can come to worship and foster their belief in Jesus Christ. As a church family, we are an example of Christian living. Together we educate and nurture our adults and children in the teachings of our Lord and the Word of God. We extend God’s grace by serving others and those in need. We welcome and invite everyone to participate in the life of our congregation. We seek to provide a loving, nurturing environment to develop a personal relationship with God.

LOCATION & PARKING
We are a church located at the center of town in beautiful Rutherford New Jersey. While we do not have a parking lot, there is ample street parking around.
We are excited to announce that we now have some off street parking on Sunday Mornings. Angelo Mania, Director of Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home (19 Lincoln Ave, Rutherford, NJ), has granted us permission to park in their parking lot on Sunday mornings. Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home is located less than a block from the church on Lincoln Ave and the lot is located behind the building. We truly appreciate this generous gesture of supporting our ministry!

We recognize that the Christmas Season is especially busy in the life of the church as we offer multiple services. We will also close the office from Monday December 29 2025 through Friday January 2 2026 to provide the staff a rest after the busy season.

About Us
KAREN KAISER PARISH HOUSE
Many of our church activities are located across the street from our main church location. In the Karen Kaiser Parish House, our youth use our gym space. We host Christian Education studies and gather for fellowship here. There are opportunities for the community to rent this space so please contact our office to inquire.
